  Cash For Critters was started in 1999 by Jeff and Dee Hynes. For a while Dee was doing Wildlife Rehabilitation and had to quit doing the rehabilitation because they could not afford it anymore. They did not like the fact that all these poor defenseless animals were going to have to piled on to someone else who really could not afford it either so they finished rehabilitating all the little critters they had. When the season ended they decided that they could not go through that again. That is when they came up with the idea to raise money for all of the other Rehabilitators. That winter is when Cash For Critters was hatched.
